Who we are
The Initiative for Peace and Reconciliation (IPR) is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization committed to promoting justice, peace and reconciliation. It is created in honour of Bishop Dr Stephen Munga whom for quite a long time has struggled for the realization of same social values. It is an independent and self standing organization but whose existence will echo that spirit of upholding to the values envisaged by the Founder.
The Initiative has, in its functions, a broader spectrum of activities including those related to democracy, human rights, good governance and the rule of law. It will also have some cross cutting issues such as climate justice and unique focus on people, communities and organizations that are disadvantaged and vulnerable.
